The Salvage Store can take fixtures and fittings from various areas of the flats, including kitchens and bathrooms, but is not allowed to take electrical items except plug sockets, switches and light fittings. This means that we cannot take for example original cookers, hobs or fridges which should be disposed in other ways. Also, asbestos may be present and so it is a strict rule that a member of the team must see the items in situ before they are taken out for donation. We will not take items left outside the store or from refuse areas for the same reason. Once a member of the team has assessed what we can take then we will work with you or your contractor to remove and store items for recycling.
